Method 1: Using source games

1. Load up any source game (Using Garry's Mod for this example)


2. Join any server


3. Type "Status" into the console (See "Enabling your console")


4. Find the ID associated with your name

Method 2: Using Steam ID Finder

1. Find the profile of the person who's ID you want to determine



1a. On the DarkRP server, the scoreboard can be used to find profile URLs and SteamID's


2. Go to http://steamidfinder.com/


3. Paste their URL and click the magnifying glass

1. Start up any source game (Using Garry's Mod for this example)


2. Go to Options


3. Click "Advanced"

4. Check "Enable Developer Console"


5. Press ~ to bring up the console
